Synergy FC 32 put a cage on the water at Lazy Gators in Lake Ozark, Missouri, on Friday, September 18, in the middle of Lake of the Ozarks Bike Fest. Nine bouts of MMA and kickboxing went off in front of a bike-week crowd, and seven of them ended before the final bell. Clark Stith closed the night with a unanimous decision over Thomas Solorio in the professional welterweight main event. The full replay is on MMAFutures.com.
Synergy FC 32 Main Event: Clark Stith def. Thomas Solorio
The two professionals who came in with matching 1-0 records went fifteen minutes, and Clark Stith took all three cards.
Solorio, the Wichita welterweight who came up on Synergy cards as an amateur, had promised one of two outcomes. “I’m gonna win in spectacular fashion and get my hand raised, or I’m gonna be in the ambulance,” he said in an MMA Futures pre-fight interview. He got neither. He got a hard three rounds against a St. Louis fighter out of Wolves Den Training Center who did enough, everywhere, to take it.
Stith moves to 2-0 as a professional.
Synergy FC 32 Co-Main Event: Holden Wills def. Austin Hayes
The most experienced pairing on the card produced the best submission of the night. Holden Wills, up from Bentonville, Arkansas and Inferno Martial Arts, locked up a D’Arce choke 49 seconds into the third round on Austin Hayes of Arsenal Elite.
It fits the pattern. Wills does not leave much to the judges.
