Synergy FC 31 packed the Shrine Mosque in Springfield on Saturday, September 12, 2026, and gave the crowd eight finishes in twelve fights, a title defense decided by the judges, and a main event that lasted less than a minute. The Missouri Office of Athletics recorded 848 in attendance. Twelve bouts went ahead after Cayman Fewell vs. Kayden Kinder was cancelled on fight day.
Main Event: Daylon Loonsfoot Submits Scottie Stockman in 53 Seconds
Springfield’s own Daylon “Ace” Loonsfoot (Springfield Fight Club) needed 53 seconds to finish the pro welterweight main event, locking up a guillotine choke on Scottie Stockman (10th Planet Grants Pass, Albany, Oregon) for the first-round submission. Loonsfoot came in 5-0; Stockman, at 11-7, was the most experienced fighter on the card. It was over before the crowd had settled.
Loonsfoot turned to the camera afterward with a message for the UFC’s matchmaker: “Sean Shelby, I’m ready when you are.” On this night, it was hard to argue.
Tyler Janes Retains the Synergy FC Amateur Bantamweight Championship
Tyler Janes (Wolves Den Training Center, Hannibal, Missouri) kept his belt by split decision over Springfield’s Jason “The Spider Monkey” Eubanks (Team Fusion), with the judges scoring it 29-28, 29-28 and 28-29 after three rounds. Both came in undefeated at 4-0. Janes first won the title at Synergy FC 29 in June, and Saturday’s defense was the closest fight on the card.
Co-Main Event: Austin Clem Outpoints Cody Carrillo
Nixa’s Austin “The Clem Reaper” Clem (Team Fusion) took a unanimous decision over veteran Cody Carrillo (Fox Fitness, Parsons, Kansas) in the pro welterweight co-main event, 30-27, 29-28 and 30-27. Carrillo, with 42 pro fights behind him, made Clem work for all three rounds.
Nate Byers Knocks Out Kobe Stewart in Round 1
The knockout of the night came from Nate “The Great” Byers (Legacy Combat Sports, Carthage, Missouri), who stopped Springfield’s Kobe Stewart (Team Fusion) at 1:47 of the first round in their amateur lightweight bout.

In the other pro bout, heavyweight Avery “These Hands” Wilson (Team Fusion, Cabot, Arkansas) stopped Gregory “Reignman” Smith (The Hit Pit, Greenville, North Carolina) by TKO at 4:35 of the first round.
Submissions Rule the Amateur Card
Five of the seven amateur finishes came by submission. Chance “Double Cobra” Hensley (Springfield Fight Club) caught Aaron Goforth with a guillotine at 2:09 of the first round. Angel Gabriel (Team Fusion) took Gavin Jewell’s back for a rear-naked choke at 0:51 of the third. Clay Stine (Springfield Fight Club) finished Brady Gordon with a rear-naked choke at 0:56 of round two. Sawyer “The Maniac” Black (Arsenal Elite, Rolla) opened the show with a neck crank on Aiden Naylor at 1:33 of the first round, and Biak Za Cung (Team Fusion) stopped Dian Justus by TKO at 2:48 of the second.
Two more went the distance: Sam “Red 40” Melton (Legacy Combat Sports, Joplin) swept the cards 30-27 over Cameron Allen at flyweight, and in the night’s lone kickboxing bout, Maddox “Mercenary” Benfield (Legacy Combat Sports, Joplin) won a unanimous decision over Salvatorio Mallian, 29-28, 30-27 and 29-28.
