Saturday night, MMA Futures delivers the action-packed Synergy FC 17, streaming live from the historic Shrine Mosque in Springfield, Missouri. This highly anticipated event promises an electrifying night of fights, headlined by two of the top bantamweights in the Midwest—Eric Shelton and Alan Olivas.
Main Event Spotlight
In the main event, Eric Shelton, a seasoned fighter out of Lawton, Oklahoma, brings an impressive resume to the cage. Shelton is a two-organization bantamweight champion, including the highly respected Caged Aggression Promotion. With victories over elite competitors like Dwight Joseph (a Contender Series winner) and a razor-thin split decision loss to current UFC champion Alexandre Pantoja, Shelton is knocking on the UFC’s door.
Standing in his way is Kansas City’s Alan Olivas, a fierce competitor hungry to make a name for himself. The stakes couldn’t be higher—the winner of this bout could very well receive a call from the UFC.
