This Friday night, Ascendancy Fighting Championship 68 returns to Des Moines with another stacked card of Midwest talent. Featuring rising amateurs, experienced professionals, and fan-favorite fighters, AFC 68 is more than just another regional event—it’s a glimpse into the future of MMA.
Two fighters in particular are turning heads leading into this event:
- Sofia King – Calm and collected, King doesn’t overthink her opponents or the moment. “I just do my own thing… keep my mind present with reading or crocheting, then lock in when it’s time.”
- Gavin Urias – At just 22, Urias has gone all-in on his dream. “I quit my full-time job to pursue this. I train twice a day, most days of the week. The struggle now is what’s going to push me to the next level.”
Both fighters embody what Ascendancy FC is all about—giving hungry prospects the platform to prove themselves while providing fans with unforgettable action.
